A DORIC MAUSOLEUM (Early 19th Century)

An Architect’s design for a Doric Mausoleum, with a statue on a tall plinth, elevation and plan

Pen, ink, wash and watercolour, 25x31cm, in a 19th century frame

The plan shows an open structure rather than an attached portico, indicating a mausoleum. It has been suggested that this could be a competition entry for the Duke of York Monument at Waterloo Place, London of the early 1830s.
